Remember me (?)

Yay for figuring out my national identity so painlessly! Since I haven't really said anything about what I've been doing for the last 5 days, here's what I remember.

On Saturday dad and I went over to Midas for a wheel inspection and they told us that my crapcar handles pretty loosely and drifts to the left because the front left lower ball joint is slightly loose and the front left inner tie rod is also loose. Evidently that tie rod is a bitch to work on. And then they told me how much it would cost for them to do the work. So I'll be driving a wobbly car unless dad finds some cheap parts and we do it ourselves. That would be fitting, since we've done pretty much everything else ourselves *thanks dad!* Mom randomly stopped by while we were waiting for the quote, bringing us sushi and drinks, and then went off to do more shopping in town, so that left dad and me to eat down by the lake in the sun while he explained various things the inspection had discovered. Mmm, sushi is soo good...

Sunday involved church :-/ because i couldn't get out of it like i did the last two weeks...but then Kat picked me up and we drove into Anchorage to look for...well, i think we were supposed to be looking for porn/naughty things, but we went looking for Subterranea first and found it after making fun of tourists and wandering around. They had some "interesting" clothes there, but we agreed that they were trying a little too hard and left. With that out of our systems for the moment, we went not only to the Gap, but Old Navy too. Kind of a 180, no? Because we hadn't stayed out late enough, we stopped in Eagle River on our way back to the valley and watched Pirates of the Caribbean! :D So good! Huzzah.

I think the rest of the week involved lots of swimming at the pool and watching movies, which is fun, if completely mind-draining. Kat's leaving for Macalester today, so last night I went over and we watched The Little Mermaid. I found out that more people I know are pregnant. Ok, a word on that. If you are a teen, don't get pregnant. It's as simple as that. DON'T DO IT! Not the sex part, i mean, but the getting pregnant part. Wait for a few years, k? How about till you have some money to raise your kid with? Sound smart? Yes, indeed. I know you didn't mean to. If you used condoms and the pill and still ended up pregnant, then don't ever gamble, please. You don't have any luck, apparently. But if you forgot one or both of the afore-mentioned items, then you are a moron. And pregnant. Please be nice to your child and don't blame them for your life.

Ok I think that's out now. Chris is leaving for France soon, and I hope he loves his family immediately, and vice versa! Chris, if you read this please let me know where I can send you letters and such, or I'll have to resort to other means to find out :O Kat's leaving tonight for a longass flight to St. Paul, and then lots of driving. Good luck! Since you already like your roomie, I'll just wish for you that you guys are good friends for the whole year! Talk to you on the 30th. Patrick's leaving soon too, for MIT. He wants to see my boobs, but won't send me a photo of him in "special" clothing, so negotiations will continue. And I'm leaving for Seattle in a month! I'm so excited! I got my ticket for the Dashboard Confessional/Brand New/MXPX/Vendetta Red concert on the 28th and it's sitting in my desk right now. :D If anyone in seattle wants to come, buy a ticket and come with Jenny and me. No better way to start the year!
