mmmff. i was so happy. i was dreaming about something random...i can't remember. and then mom woke me up at 8 to drive her to the dentist. it was a half-emergency, because she was hurting a lot, but now we've got her a double-prescription of vicadin, so the next few days should be pretty funny. she gets really loopy and silly when she's on...pretty much anything.

dad brought the van into town so we could have it looked at, because it's been slightly off since it got rear-ended a week ago. we got mom to the dentist's and went over to a place by schuck's on the parks to get the van looked at, and in the meantime someone in a dump truck had rear-ended this poor guy in a pickup at parks and main right outside the window. evidently his head broke the glass window behind him, but he'll be ok after a while.

at the same time, there was a big problem up towards talkeetna and another somewhere near us in wasilla, as well as a chase on crusey, so all the ambulances were stretched pretty thin for support (emt's are volunteers out here in the valley) and dad (who was an emt 3 forever...up untill a few years ago) went over to help the dude in the pickup at the intersection and didn't come back for quite a while. Now that we've got mom back and dad has disappeared again, I get to start in on the books i got from the library: two by pearl buck, and two by helen fielding. that's right, bridget jones 2. :D
